"I went to my doctor who prescribed phentermine, I have worked hard losing about 5-10 lbs a month and it has not been easy. I eat at least 1200 calories a day, limit the bad carbs, and try to exercise 3-5 times a week. I eat like a person diagnosed with insulin resistance, type 2 diabetes, or PCOS would. I have never been diagnosed with these things but I know if I do not eat this way I will probably have issues with these in the future. Phentermine has really helped me changed my lifestyle. Had a not gotten pregnant and miscarried I would be at my goal weight right now."

A new lifestyle

What is the deciding factor that made you decide to change your lifestyle?
Alyssia
I had struggled with my weight for most of my life but was always able to hide it very well. I moved out of my parents house and lived off the McDonalds dollar menu. I knew I did not want to continue to live this way and sought help from my doctor. After months of seeing nutritionists and working out, I had lost nothing. I had gained 40 lbs in a year and knew, at 19, I was not going to be able to live long being 230 lbs.

What was the most difficult adjustment to your new lifestyle?
Alyssia
Getting into a routine. I do much better when I can do things on a schedule, but after a few weeks I loved my routine! I would come home from work, exercise, make dinner, do homework, and still was able to enjoy the rest of my night.

What is the most rewarding part of your new lifestyle?
Alyssia
The most rewarding part is how I feel about myself now. I feel so much better about myself, I feel like a strong person who can do anything I set my mind to. I also love being able to find clothes I fit in and all the compliments I get from friends or family.

Do you have any words of advice for the Phentermine.com community?
Alyssia
No matter what your loss is, whether 1,2,or 3 lbs, it's a loss. Do not get upset over small losses because it's better than the scale going up. Do not always concentrate on the scale, make sure to measure your inches as well. I finally realized that I am much happier trying to stay with my lifestyle than sitting on the couch eating. I do not care how long my journey may take because I know, like all things in life, I will be rewarded eventually.
