"I would say that I have struggled with my weight since I was about 10. I have gone through a lot of different phases of weight gain and loss and I finally realized that I wasn't in control anymore. After my first son was born I lost all but ten lbs. of "baby weight" and thought I would have the same result after my second son was born...ha! I lost quite a bit but never got back down and then while pregnant with my third son (yes, three sons) I was put on bed rest...for three months! I tipped the scale at 206 when I delivered. I never liked when people would always blame my weight on having "just had a baby" So, for the next few years I hated going out with my husband because I looked so awful. I would wear a jacket and jeans in the middle of August and just felt like people were always looking at me. It hurt my family and my self esteem! I didn't want to play and run with my kids because I would get tired so easily and it wasn't fair to them."


A new lifestyle
What is the deciding factor that made you decide to change your lifestyle?
I love my husband and kids so much that I had to make a change for the better because anything else would be certain misery. Another slap in the face was when we had gotten a call at work from a guest who I had previously spoken to, but he couldn't remember my name. He referred to me as the heavy-set manager...ouch!!
What was the most difficult adjustment to your new lifestyle?
I would have to say that I have had a hard time taking the pills on time! I work nights and so I have a strange schedule and I forget to take them when I should!
What is the most rewarding part of your new lifestyle?
It has lifted my self confidence a lot and I no longer make it a point to constantly talk about how fat I am. I am having such a good time doing things I was afraid of before. My husband has developed a new appreciation for my smaller body! The last triumph was that I bought my first size 10 jeans in over 9 years!!
Do you have any words of advice for the community?
Stick with it! I have had nothing but great things come from this product. Don't rely on it to be the only reason you're losing weight though. Once you've started noticing a difference, you'll be more willing to eat right and you'll be so proud of the loss that you may even WANT to get out and exercise!!
